Landsbee will offer a weekly Morning Together class for young children and their parents called Littlehus. Each morning follows a reassuring rhythm with time for children and parents to learn, play, talk & eat together. Our hope is that parents & children will leave with warm memories, useful knowledge & new friendships.
Welcome
Our morning together begins with a warm welcome for both children and their parents! Each child is greeted by name and invited to return the greeting. This is a wonderful first lesson in grace & courtesy.
Exploration
The children freely select purposeful and practical "work" of their choosing. Opportunities for play & learning are abundant in our prepared, home-like environment. Parents have the opportunity to reflect & explore the practical application of their weekly reading at this time as well.
Observation & Participation
As the children settle into the classroom, each parent will find a just-right style of engagement for that moment. This may look like stepping back to observe their child as she works or it might involve sitting side-by-side with their child to explore a new material or a parent may find themselves working alongside another parent to prepare food for the class community to share together.
Community Tea
We close our mornings together with a warm, shared snack & conversation.
